Message	get it? Then he ticketed you for it? You have a strong case. Do you have any witnesses to how close he was following? I imagine the answer is no. I'd document (with your lawyer) where he was when he started following you and where he finally pulled you over. Also, the fact that he only cited you for not having IDs means he did not have any cause for pulling you over. It's a hassle and best thing would have been for him to let you go and everyone move on. Since you've already retained a lawyer, you might as well pursue this (sounds like harassment and wreckless behavior on the part of the police officer - who is supposed to serve & protect)
